Our new project “Odysseus” got funded!

We are making finishing touches to Hard West 2 and after Closed Beta and WASD Expo in London, we received great feedback from the players which resulted in the increased budget for the game provided by its publisher – Good Shepherd Entertainment. 

We’ve been working together for a few years now and this partnership has proven to be a good fit. In fact, Good Shepherd decided to fund our new project codenamed “Odysseus” which is only in its preproduction phase! This is a great show of trust and commitment and we are very glad that we will be working together on another project. 

What is “Odysseus”? 

It is going to be a strategy game, reimagining some industry standard concepts with a pinch of fresh ideas from our team which is what we strive to do with every game we put out. Its size for now looks like it will be comparable to the size of Hard West 2 but this is something that could change a lot during the preproduction and the actual production phases of the project as is typical in game development endeavors. 

The team behind it

We will of course bring the talent and experience responsible for Hard West 2 on board after it launches but the core team is at work for some time now and both Ice Code Games and Good Shepherd Entertainment are very impressed with what they did so far. There will be some notable additions to the team in form of industry veterans that we will communicate in the future. 

What’s next? 

There is still a lot of work to be done before we can start revealing more details and present the game to the public but we believe it will be worth the wait. In the meantime, you can follow us on Facebook for more updates on the studio and its future!
